Fishing Wolf River, Fremont Wisconsin

The Fremont area and Wolf River is recognized as the “White Bass Capitol of the World.”During the Spring run (1st week of May to the 1st week of June) you can catch anywhere from 20 to 100 white bass in a day if you time it right. Walleye fishing on the Wolf River is also excellent especially in April with the Spring spawn. The Wolf River is the largest river in Waupaca County offering over 90 miles of navigable water in its 225 mile stretch.

The village of Fremont is a small friendly community of 750 people, that attracts thousands of anglers during the Spring months for the White Bass and Walleye fishing. While fishing is the most popular reason to come visit Fremont, there are many other activities to enjoy as well, boating, water skiing and swimming. Downtown Fremont has many fine restaurants and unique shops to explore.
