Fishing Park Falls Wisconsin

Known for its excellent fishing, impressive natural beauty, and surprising tranquility, the Park Falls area is an excellent destination for anglers tired of having other boats constantly zooming past them while they fish. Two resources stand out – Butternut Lake, just to the north of the community, and the North Fork of the Flambeau River, which flows right through town. Both are famed resources among serious anglers – Butternut for its trophy potential, and the river for its wild, natural beauty.

While Park Falls lies in the heart of muskie country, other species are available, including walleye, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Just up the road is access to the west side of the renowned Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, which offers the best in fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass and – of course – muskie.

With over 900,000 acres of federally-protected wilderness, Park Falls offers more than just great fishing. ATV, hiking, snowmobile, and cross-country ski trails provide year-round recreation amidst beautiful scenery. Stay at one of several area motels, or else one of the many cottages and cabins available for rent through local lodges and private owners. Meanwhile, the town itself offers great shopping and dining at establishments ranging from fast food to casual bar & grills to upscale supper clubs.
